An event every week that begins at 12:00pm on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, repeating until January 6, 2018

The experiences of Aurorans who went off to fight in the First World War, as well as what life was like for those who stayed at home, will be on exhibit beginning Memorial Day, May 29, 2017, at the Pierce Art and History Center, 20 E. Downer.

Co-created by the Aurora Historical Society and the GAR Memorial Hall and Museum, the exhibit will feature artifacts from both collections as well as a full-scale replica of a trench which visitors can enter for a sense of what hardships the soldiers encountered from enemy fire, disease, and attrition.

The exhibit will be open, free of charge, from Noon to 4 pm  Wednesdays through Saturdays until January 6, 2018.
